Learning To Serve: Greenbrier Christian Academy - April 2023
The core subjects aren't the only things being taught at Greenbrier Christian Academy. Students in Preschool - 2nd Grade are also learning what it means to serve their community by participating in an in-school service learning project with their classmates. Preschool classes learned how you are never too young to make a difference and assembled 462 sets of dinnerware to be included in our Welcome Home Backpacks. K-2nd graders learned the importance of teamwork and how working together to meet a need can make a much bigger impact than working alone. All together they filled and donated 61 Community Care Packs, 56 Welcome Home Backpacks, and 82 Personal Care Kits!

Grace Bible Church Volunteers Working Hard for Their Community - March 2023
Thanks to the many volunteers from Grace Bible Church, Moms on a Mission shelves are well stocked with Community Care Packs and Personal Care Kits for distribution to our partner shelters. These volunteers showed up ready to work and completed 300 Community Care Packs and nearly 400 Personal Care Kits!

IKEA's Halloween Drive-Thru Event - October 2022

For the 3rd year, Moms on a Mission has been the community partner for IKEA Norfolk's Halloween Drive-thru event. Families were able to drive through the IKEA parking lot to trick-or-treat from their vehicles and share donated items with Moms on a Mission to fill our Welcome Home Baskets for families transitioning out of homelessness. Combining Halloween fun and service to the community made this event a win for everyone!
And that's not all!
